What the business is
The business is a memory care community in Boynton Beach we work with. It is a single-location senior living community that offers memory care. We describe it by type and place and do not publish its name. The GA4 figures below describe the community’s website, and the Perplexity answer linked to that same website. The Boynton Beach digital marketing agency page covers how we serve the city.
The situation
In GA4, organic search sessions fell by about a third from the 12 months to October 14, 2025 to the 12 months to October 14, 2026.
Over the same two ranges, total sessions across all channels rose from 16,749 to 21,548, and direct traffic was the main reason. The site received more visits overall while fewer came from search results. The picture is mixed: search visits fell by about a third while the site as a whole grew, and the data here does not explain why search fell.
What was done
The engagement covers two services: Business Profile management, described on our Google Maps marketing page, and SEO services. It is ongoing. We do not publish a start date, so this page does not say that either service produced a figure below. You approve every page before it goes live.
Care providers have their own page on healthcare and senior care marketing.
What the numbers show
The traffic figures come from GA4 and the Perplexity finding comes from a saved answer dated October 15, 2026.
| Metric | Earlier range | Later range | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Organic search sessions | 12 months to Oct 14, 2025 | About a third lower, 12 months to Oct 14, 2026 | GA4 |
| All-channel sessions | 16,749 | 21,548, mostly direct | GA4, same two ranges |
| Visits from ChatGPT and Gemini | No earlier figure published | 56, six months to Oct 14, 2026 | GA4 |
| Perplexity answer, memory care in Boynton Beach | Not reported | Site listed with a link, Oct 15, 2026 | Saved Perplexity answer |
On October 15, 2026, Perplexity listed a memory care community in Boynton Beach we work with, with a link to its site, for a memory care search in Boynton Beach. The community’s site recorded 56 sessions from AI engines in the six months to October 14, 2026.
The AI assistants that sent those 56 sessions were ChatGPT and Gemini (GA4), so they are a different source from the Perplexity answer. One is a visit count over six months and the other is a single answer on one day.
Perplexity’s answer cited reviews that emphasize personal relationships with staff, communication and dignity of care. Three things sit outside this data: why organic search fell, where the community ranks in any search, and how many families called or toured. Our study of AI answers for local services compares how three AI engines answered across Palm Beach County cities.
The page cites no key events, because they were not configured in the earlier range.
To check the GA4 rows on your own site, set one date range to the latest 12 months and a second to the 12 months before, then compare the Organic Search and Direct rows in the channel report. To check an AI row, run the search yourself and read which sources the answer cites. Your answer will carry today’s date, and the one we saved carries October 15, 2026.
What an owner in the same industry can take from it
- Split total sessions by channel before judging a year. A total can rise while organic search falls, and only the channel rows show which one carried the change.
- Open the pages an AI answer cites about your business and check whether your own site is among them. Run the search yourself, write down the date and keep the answer.
- Patient privacy rules apply to tracking and forms, and the compliance contact decides.
Price for this kind of work
Business Profile management is $450 to $650 a month. For SEO the published range is $1,000 to $1,600 a month, and a competitive market can take it to about $3,500. A full-service program for a local business is $2,000 to $5,000 a month. Prices reviewed October 2026. This community’s own fee is not given here, only the published ranges. Our other services are listed on the pricing page, and the Business Profile cost guide covers Business Profile pricing in more depth.
FAQ
What does it mean that Direct traffic drove the rise in total sessions?
GA4 reports a visit as Direct when no referring source is recorded, which includes typed web addresses and bookmarks. On this site Direct led the rise in total sessions, so the rise says little about search. Organic search is its own channel, and it is the one that fell.
What did the reviews cited in the Perplexity answer emphasize?
The reviews Perplexity cited stress personal relationships with staff. They also mention communication and dignity of care. That describes what those sources said and does not show how many families chose the community. The saved answer carries one date, October 15, 2026. Anyone can run the same search to see which sources appear.
Why does this page cite no key events?
Key events were not configured in the earlier range, so there is no before-and-after pair to show. A count with nothing to set beside it says nothing about change. Before you compare key events on your own site, check that the same events were counted in both of the ranges you compare.
What would Business Profile management and SEO cost a senior living community?
Two published lines apply: Business Profile management at $450 to $650 a month, and SEO at $1,000 to $1,600 a month, up to about $3,500 in competitive markets. These are list ranges and not a quote for any one community. The pricing page shows the rest of our services.
