A Business Profile is worth paying for when it produces calls and visits. Google’s Performance report counts calls, direction requests and website clicks, and it can show several profiles at once, which suits a practice or firm with more than one office (Google Business Profile Help, read October 19, 2026).

Who is a West Palm Beach Business Profile for?

Pick the one action that counts as a lead from the profile before you compare providers, including us. Each buyer type below has its own.

Multi-office medical and dental groups. A group with a downtown listing and one or two in the suburbs has several profiles to keep consistent, and patients call the office nearest to them. The lead to count is a tap on the call button, which Google’s Performance report records for each profile.

Patient privacy rules apply to what you write in replies, so your compliance contact belongs in the plan from the start. Have each office confirm its hours before they are entered, because a wrong closing time sends a patient to a locked door.

Professional firms with a downtown suite. A law or accounting firm is judged on its address, opening hours and reviews before a visitor reads a word of its website. If the firm also has an office north or west of the city, each office needs its own listing, and the partners can settle who else gets one (the FAQ has Google’s rules). The leads to count are calls and direction requests. Our professional services page covers the wider marketing picture for firms.

Service companies based in the city. An electrician, cleaner or locksmith who travels to customers sets service areas instead of showing a street address. Google’s guidelines make a business that travels to customers eligible for a profile, and our service-area guide shows how to set it up. The lead to count is a call.

Estimate what each action is worth before you hire anyone. A new-patient call is worth a different amount than a consultation request, and a direction request tells you less than either. Then work out how many new customers, at your usual job value, it would take to cover the fee. A tap on the call button shows interest and not a signed customer, so your own call log is the check.

What should a Business Profile plan cover for several locations?

Read the table as a checklist when you compare providers. The middle column shows what an owner can do alone with Google’s free tools, and the right column shows what a plan should cover.

TaskOwner can do aloneA plan should cover
One profile per officeYesA written list of offices and who manages each
VerificationYes, one profile at a timeWhich offices are verified and which are pending
Name, address, phone, hoursYesThe same details on every profile and the website
Review repliesYes, after verificationWho replies, who signs off, compliance wording
Special hours and closuresYesA reminder before holidays and storms
Duplicates and moved officesSometimes needs Google reviewFinding duplicates and reporting them
Doctor or attorney profilesYes, under Google’s rulesDeciding who gets a listing
Photos and postsYesWho supplies and approves each one
ReportingYes, in the Performance reportCalls, direction requests and clicks by office

Begin by writing down every office with its street address, suite, phone number and hours. Compare each line with the profile and the website, and correct whatever differs, since anyone who searches the name can see the mismatch. An owner can do this alone, and a plan should repeat it on a schedule you can read.

Put these five questions to every provider:

  • Which offices does the quote cover, and is the price per office?
  • Who answers reviews, and who approves each reply?
  • What happens when a duplicate listing turns up?
  • Does the report show calls, direction requests and website clicks for each office?
  • Which tasks in the table stay with the provider, and which stay with you?

The rules behind several of these rows are in the FAQ below, each with its Google Help source. Our Business Profile cost guide lists the questions to put to any seller before you compare quotes.

What is different about Business Profiles in West Palm Beach?

Why a downtown office and a suburban office are separate listings

Google’s local ranking help names three factors: relevance, distance and prominence. It defines distance as the gap between the person searching and each business (Google Business Profile Help, read October 19, 2026). Because distance runs from the searcher to each office, a downtown office and a suburban one are not the same listing to Google, and neither stands in for the whole city.

Downtown is a defined district. The West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority describes itself as an independent special taxing district created by the Florida Legislature in 1967 (DDA, page modified August 4, 2026). Its Why Downtown page lists more than 30 hotels within a 2-mile radius and 6,800 City-owned parking spaces, and gives no date for either figure.

A hotel guest and a worker on a lunch break both search from where they stand, so a downtown profile has to be right about its address and hours. These figures describe the downtown district only. In our view, an office outside it draws more patients who live nearby than visitors passing through, so ask which of your offices sit inside the district and which do not.

Offices in the neighborhoods

The City’s Office of Economic Development names NORA, SoSo, Northwood Village and CityPlace as neighborhoods, and lists redevelopment districts for Downtown/City Center, Northwood/Pleasant City and Sunset Lounge (City of West Palm Beach, read October 19, 2026). A group with offices in more than one of these needs a profile for each.

Google’s guidelines say unnecessary information in a business name is not permitted and can lead to suspension, and that for chains all locations in a country should share one name (Google Business Profile Help, read October 19, 2026). Tell offices apart by address and not by adding a neighborhood to the name.

What a search shows today

A search on October 19, 2026 for “dentist west palm beach” listed directory pages and practice websites side by side in its web results, with a sponsored block among them. A name, street address and phone number are read in several places and not only in the profile, so every listing has to agree.

Where AI answers fit

When someone asks ChatGPT who to call, the business it names is the one that gets searched next. We do AI visibility alongside SEO, never instead of it. In our 120-answer study of Palm Beach County local services, collected from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity on October 17, 2026, every answer named at least one business. The study counts Google’s Business Profile cards among the review sources the engines cite, so an accurate profile is one of the places they can read about you.

FAQ

Does each extra office add to the Business Profile fee?

The published range is $450 to $650 a month, and the pricing page states no per-location rate. A practice with several offices should ask for the per-location price on the call and get the number of locations the quote covers in writing before comparing it with any other quote.

Can a group with many offices verify all its locations at once?

Google offers bulk verification for 10 or more locations of the same business. Its Help page says duplicate, suspended or disabled profiles do not count toward that minimum, and service-area businesses cannot use it. Some cases may need video verification with an authorized representative at the location (Google Business Profile Help).

What should a practice do with its old profile after moving offices?

Google says not to create a new profile for the new location and to update the existing one with the new address. A duplicate you created by mistake can be removed, but removal deletes its content and linked managers, so check which profile you are selecting first (Google Business Profile Help).

Should each doctor or attorney have a profile of their own?

Google defines an individual practitioner as a public-facing professional, typically with their own customer base, and says support staff should not create profiles. A practice with several practitioners at one location should have its own profile, separate from theirs, and no practitioner should hold several profiles for different specialties.

Can a practice reply to patient or client reviews freely?

Google posts an approved reply publicly under the review, as coming from the business. Its reviews page gives no guidance on personal information, and patient or client privacy rules may apply to what you write. Ask your compliance contact before replying to any review that refers to a visit or a case (Google Business Profile Help).

How should an office list a storm closure?

Google says to use special hours when a business is closed 7 days or less, and to mark it temporarily closed for a longer closure. Its Help page adds that temporarily closed businesses can rank after open ones for broad queries. Business Profile Manager can mark several locations closed together (Google Business Profile Help).
