What should you check before hiring a Boca Raton agency?
Boca Raton is a competitive market, so in our view the comparison of quotes is where a business gains or loses the most. These are six red flags to watch for, each with what to insist on instead.
- Red flag: no price until a sales call. On October 17, 2026 we searched Google for “digital marketing agency Boca Raton” and read the first 6 organic results, leaving out ads and directories; only one of the 6 showed a price on its site. Our 10-city survey gives the method and the list of sites checked. Insist on a written range before you book anyone’s time.
- Red flag: one monthly figure with no scope. Ad spend, per-lead charges and website work are often quoted apart from the fee, so a single number can hide a larger bill. Insist on a line-by-line scope that shows what you will pay the agency and what you will pay Google at the budget you choose.
- Red flag: accounts opened under the agency’s login. Your Business Profile, your Analytics property and your ad accounts should be in your name, with the agency given access. Who owns your website and marketing accounts has the details. Insist on being the owner before you sign, and on knowing what you keep if you leave.
- Red flag: a guaranteed ranking, or results with no date. A promise of a position or a lead count is a reason to walk away. Insist on results with a date and a source that you can re-run yourself that afternoon, such as a named search on a named day.
- Red flag: nobody is named. Insist on names and roles before the contract, and on a video call time that works around court or clinic hours. At Good At Marketing, our founder Donnie Strompf leads SEO strategy, and the team page names who handles design and development, content and paid media.
- Red flag: a quote far from the published range. Compare it with the ranges in the table below. A figure far above may bundle ad spend or design work, and one far below may cover fewer hours. Insist that the difference is explained line by line.

What does a digital marketing agency cost for a Boca Raton business?
These are our published prices, reviewed October 2026, each backed by the pricing page and a cost guide. How far up the SEO range a Boca Raton business falls depends partly on the other businesses competing for the same searches.
| Service | Best for | Monthly range | Cost guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO | Showing up when Boca Raton buyers search | $1,000 to $1,600; about $3,500 in competitive markets | SEO cost |
| AEO | Appearing in ChatGPT and Perplexity answers | $950 to $2,000 alongside SEO | AEO cost |
| Google Ads | Paid clicks while a campaign runs | $600 to $1,000 plus ad spend | Google Ads cost |
| Local Services Ads | Leads you pay for | $200 to $1,000 plus per-lead charges | LSA cost |
| Business Profile | Keeping your map profile current | $450 to $650 | Profile cost |
| Staying in touch with past clients | $550 to $1,000 | Overall cost | |
| Social media | Regular posts on the platforms you choose | $550 to $1,000 | Overall cost |
| Web design | Building or rebuilding a site | Quoted per project | Pricing page |
Ad spend is paid to Google, on top of the management fee. Google Ads Help says that with Google Ads you choose a daily budget for each campaign, and Local Services Help says that with Local Services Ads you pay for valid leads, which is why per-lead charges sit apart from the fee.
We also have separate Boca Raton pages for Google Ads management in Boca Raton, Business Profile management in Boca Raton and web design in Boca Raton.
Before choosing services, look at where your inquiries come from today. The guide to SEO vs Google Ads compares those two, and the next section suggests a starting point for four kinds of Boca Raton buyer.
Which service should a Boca Raton business start with?
The answer depends on how your clients find you, so treat the list below as our view and not a rule. Each line names one service and links its cost guide. Businesses often add services over time, and the first purchase should match the first problem.
- Law firm. Start with SEO. A client with an accident or a dispute searches for a specific kind of lawyer, and a firm that does not appear for those searches loses the call before a conversation starts. Our legal marketing page goes further. For the two channels on their own, see SEO for law firms and Google Ads for law firms.
- Medical or dental practice. Start with Business Profile management, priced at $450 to $650 a month. It covers the Google profile that represents the practice on the map, and the cost guide has the detail.
- Financial or professional firm. Start with AEO alongside SEO. In our Palm Beach County study, covered below, ChatGPT named at least one business in each of its 40 answers, so an accounting or advisory firm it leaves out is absent from those answers.
- Luxury retail or home services. Start with Google Ads. A shop or a contractor with a clear offer can put it in front of a buyer who is searching now, and you set the daily budget.
If your business fits none of the four, the cost table above and the free AI-visibility audit are the better guide.
What does the Boca Raton market look like?
The City of Boca Raton’s Office of Economic Development publishes figures on the local business base. The numbers below come from its Business in Boca 2024 Annual Report and its economic development page, both read in October 2026.
- Business count. The report counts 14,602 businesses in the city and 40 publicly traded corporate headquarters. It gives no year for either figure.
- Headquarters. The city’s page says Boca Raton is home to more than half of the corporate headquarters in Palm Beach County.
- Industries. The report groups its example companies into six areas: aerospace and aviation, life sciences, cleantech, information technology, consumer goods, and financial and professional services.
- Jobs. According to the report, job growth from 2019 to 2024 was 8.4% in Boca Raton against 3.7% nationally, in a workforce of 50,984 in 2024.
What do these figures mean for someone hiring an agency? The report does not say, so the rest of this section is our reading.
A count of 14,602 businesses shows the size of the pool. It does not show how many of them compete for your searches, and it says nothing about your leads. The practical step is to search for your own service and city, note who appears, and ask each agency how it would compete with those names.
Headquarters and a named financial and professional services group suggest that some Boca Raton buyers are companies and not households. If you sell to businesses, your pages need to speak to a buyer who is comparing vendors for an employer, and your Business Profile still matters for the people who will check you out.
Job growth of 8.4% points to a city where employers are hiring, which can mean more people with money to spend. It counts jobs only, and it cannot tell you what any one business will earn.
Does AI search change who a Boca Raton business should hire?
When someone asks ChatGPT who to call, the business it names is the one that gets searched next. We do AI visibility alongside SEO, never instead of it. Our study of 120 AI answers about Palm Beach County businesses, run October 17, 2026, found that ChatGPT’s 375 citations were 58% directories and 36% review platforms, and 4% were the business’s own site.
A mention in an AI answer does not prove anyone opened a site or made contact. Check your directory and review profiles as well as your own pages. To test it yourself, ask each engine your own category and city in a new chat and save the names and links with the date; the guide on getting recommended by ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews walks through the method.
What have we done in Boca Raton?
On October 15, 2026, Perplexity listed a personal injury law firm in Boca Raton we work with, with a link to its site, for a pedestrian accident search in Boca Raton. That listing comes from one engine on one day, so we do not call it a ranking, and it shows nothing about leads or sales. Our legal marketing page covers what we do for law firms and what it costs.
FAQ
What does a full digital marketing plan cost in Boca Raton?
Published bundles for local businesses run $2,000 to $5,000 a month, and ad spend is separate from every bundle. Single services cost less, and the table above lists each range. Treat any figure as an estimate until you have a written scope. The digital marketing cost guide shows what moves a quote.
Do you work with professional firms in Boca Raton?
The legal marketing page covers law firms, and the industries hub lists the other fields we have pages for, each with its services and prices. If your practice is in medicine, finance or another field, check the hub first, then bring the question to the 15-minute call.
Should a law firm or medical practice raise advertising rules with an agency?
Raise it on the first call. Ask the agency how it handles your profession’s advertising rules, and who checks pages and ads against them before they run. Law firms can start with Legal marketing for law firms in South Florida: SEO, Local Services Ads and Google Ads. You approve every page before it goes live.
How can a small Boca Raton business compete with larger firms?
Larger firms can outspend you, so look for the searches they ignore. Name the service and area you serve, keep your Business Profile and directory listings accurate, and ask the agency to show who appears today for your searches. No agency can promise a position. The ranges are published on the pricing page, reviewed October 2026.
Can we meet in person?
We hold meetings by Google Meet or Zoom, for Boca Raton clients and for clients anywhere else. Good At Marketing is based in Boynton Beach, so a meeting never depends on a commute. You pick a time on the contact page, and the call lasts 15 minutes.
Should we start with Google Ads or SEO?
It depends on how quickly you need leads and how crowded your searches are. With Google Ads you choose a daily budget for each campaign, while SEO builds on your site over time. Some businesses run both. Our SEO guide covers the stages of SEO, and the table above prices each.
